She uses a cannula, which is a blunt-tip needle that reduces swelling and almost completely eliminates bruising. She used about 3/4 of a syringe in the patient's bottom lip and put the other 1/4 into the jowls to even her out. The patient experienced minimal pain thanks to lidocaine injected beforehand and topical numbing.
